boudoir marathons

February 4, 2010

Earlier this week I mentioned the possibility of  Valentine’s Day Boudoir Mini-Sessions this weekend… and guess what, it’s happening! There are a few spots still available, so contact me if you are interested!

While in the process of planning the Valentine’s Day  Boudoir Mini-Sessions, the opportunity to offer up another Boudoir Marathon in San Francisco appeared! I have the dates set for Saturday and Sunday, April 10th and 11th. I’ll secure a location for those dates. The sessions will be 45 minutes each, and include 20 edited, high resolution images on CD. If you book with a friend and share a 90 minute time slot, you’ll each save $25 on your session fee!

Availability is limited. A $100 deposit is required to reserve your time.

plum good eats

January 28, 2010

There’s a new eatery in town, Plum Good in the Plum Gate Shopping Center… off, well, Plumb Lane. It’s yummy and different from your typical soup and salad place, in that they make the salad FOR YOU. This means that your dressing gets mixed around on all the yummy  veggies and proteins in your salad … I am particularly fond of this. The portions are surprisingly large, the food is fresh and the soups change daily. Also… how about a little baklava? Sarmas? Cheese Boereg?

You see? Different! And nummier. Can I use the word “nummier” in a professional setting? Because I just did. Anyway, see for yourself…

OH! And they have frozen yogurt with so many interesting toppings. You make it yourself and pay by the ounce!

Thanks now I am hungry and want a big salad and a piece of Baclava. We don’t have any good places like that around here. :o(

Yum! Next meeting spot for sure!

Reno has a new Improv company … well, “new” as in they just celebrated their 2nd Anniversary… Empire Improv and you should totally go check out their website an be their fan on Facebook. They put on shows every Thursday at Se7en at  West Street Market… the material is completely made up on the spot which means the shows are different every week. I highly suggest you go.

I went to their Second Anniversary show at the Laxalt Theater on Friday night to get some shots. The group Hostel Greetings put on a wonderful show and the crowd definitely enjoyed themselves… I know I did.

January 25, 2010

I haven’t been updating on the blog much since Christmas…. and I don’t mind that one bit! After a busy wedding season, I’m welcoming the break! Now, I’m gearing up for an even BUSIER wedding season! 2009 was so incredibly amazing to me… and 2010 seems to be trying to beat 2009 out of the water!

The past month has flown by. I may not have been updating the blog, but things have still been hectic!

We moved into a new house…

we moved

That was a hassle in itself ;) Packing and unpacking around New Years… just after coming home from spending 10 days in Kansas City! Thankfully, we are completely unpacked now and are able to get back into our daily routines.

This little girl celebrated her 2nd birthday at Chuck E Cheese’s! My husband and I were particularly excited about this. Since we’ve been a couple, we’ve joked about not being able to wait for our friends to have kids so they can one day be old enough to have a party at Chuck E Cheese. January 16, 2009 … that day came. Our friends little girl had a low key birthday party because she was going to be a BIG SISTER any day! My friend wanted to make sure her little girl celebrated her party, but didn’t want anything too elaborate that couldn’t be canceled in lieu of …. oh, labor and delivery!

Sure enough, six days later… my friend was scheduled to be induced and they welcomed a second little girl into the family, little miss Eden Danielle…

(picture courtesy of the Eden’s daddy!)

Expect to see some more photos of her in the next few weeks. I have plans to bombard Eden and her big sister with a camera!

I think I can finally consider myself a grown up … as I have officially hosted my first party (apart from that one time, in high school … heh). I had some friends over for a Wine and Tapas party this weekend. Boy, did I not know what I was getting into making various spanish dishes for the first time… FOR FIFTEEN PEOPLE! With some success, Brandon and I managed to put together a fairly traditional, Spanish Tapas spread … complete with Sangria, spanish tortillas and chorizo marinated in red wine. Sadly, no pictures were taken at the party … apart from this one, crappy shot of the flaming chorizo from my iPhone…

Oh yeah … and let’s not forget about my stitches! (again with the fuzzy iPhone shot)

and… AND … I celebrated my 28th birthday! So, I have had a pretty busy month … even if the snow has kept various photo shoots at bay for a few weeks!

happy holidays

December 28, 2009

I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season! I just got back from spending a couple weeks in Kansas City with my family for Christmas. So I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I did shoot a few family sessions while I was out there, so I hope to get those up soon. My husband and I are now in the process of moving into a new house so I’m still not 100% around the office until after January 4th. Until then, I’ll leave you with a few shots of The Most Adorable (and well behaved!) Nephew in the World…
